The Role As the Senior/Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the management of the legal function for the business and working closely with the senior leadership team. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to: · Advising the business on key legal and regulatory matters · Overseeing client contracts and disclosure documents. · Liaising with executives and broader business to deliver on strategic initiatives and provide legal support. · Providing guidance on governance, compliance, and risk management for the broader business · Ad-hoc duties as required. Your Profile The successful candidate will have: · Legal degree and Practicing Certificate · 3 - 10 years of PQE across the Financial Services sectors · Demonstrable knowledge around consumer-focused laws and regulations · Experience in consumer or wholesale lending sector would be highly regarded · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster strong business partnerships with senior stakeholders.
