Key Accountabilities: Manage the processing of despatch paperwork at the Yarraville DC including stock transfers, deliveries and customer pick-ups.Managing a team of dispatch staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Maintaining communication with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.To create shipments for orders requiring cartage to ensure accurate payment to vendors.To work within a team that manages the daily operations of the despatch area, ensure people are inducted to the site Safety rules when required and ensure all Safety equipment is used as required.Controlling the yard to ensure the turnaround times of trucks are met.Use SAP (Warehouse Management system) to manage effective and efficient dispatching.Identify and drive efficiencies and improvements in the despatch process. About You:Previous experience in a similar role, including supervisory experienceDemonstrated ability to logically solve problems.Active, hands-on approachStrong numerical and literacy skills.Attention to detail with ability to analyse information to drive improvements.Experience using SAP WMS - desirable.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrable experience in developing and maintaining internal and external customer working relationships.Ability and willingness to learn new things.A cooperative and constructive approach to the workplaceActs with integrity and honesty.Able to work under pressure.Safety focusForklift licence is essential.
