Administrative Officer Department of Parliamentary Services Ongoing, full time role PoV 3 - $74,580 - $90,558 base salary range About the Role As the Administrative Officer you will contribute to the delivery of the Parliamentary Library service. Your primary role is to provide a range of administrative, financial, contract and records management and other activities that support the efficient and effective operations of the Parliamentary Library while complying with policies, and State and Commonwealth Legislation. Key responsibilities: Provide support for the administrative processes and activities such as room bookings, meeting scheduling and note-taking. travel bookings, etc. Assist the Manager in the preparation of Library Budgets; monitor, analyse cost trends, variances and provide reports on expenditure against budgets. Actively monitor Library subscriptions and provide timely reports regarding usage and upcoming renewals. Undertake timely and accurate procurement activities for Library purchases in accordance with applicable policies, rules and standards. About you You will ideally bring experience in financial management administration processes, alongside: Good organisational, administrative, numeracy and time management skills and a proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as a constructive member of a small team. Good digital literacy skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, finance and information management systems. Proven ability to manage workflows and meeting tight and demanding deadlines. Sound communication, negotiation, interpersonal, customer service and instructional skills. Why join us?
