This role will be for 12 months contract based in Melbourne CBD in a hybrid working environment. Credit Collections aims to minimise overdue accounts, prevent bad debts, whilst consuming the least amount of resources and upholding optimal customer experience. The team ultimately aims to identify opportunities to resolve customer indebtedness upstream and improve customer engagement in the collections lifecycle. The Legal Triage Collections Officer is responsible for credit management/collections activity in late-stage collections, both in the SME and MCG collections portfolio, primarily focused on maximising AGL’s cash flow and minimising Net Bad Debt Expense. The position requires a deep understanding of the collection practices and regulatory compliance in the energy sector You will have: Proven experience in collections with a focus on late-stage collections activity Demonstrable understanding of the collection practices and regulatory compliance in the energy sector Intermediate Excel skills Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations with customers Analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data SAP experience preferred Proven interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads Goal orientated, thriving on meeting & exceeding targets Strong and proven strategic and conceptual skills To submit your CV please click APPLY NOW and follow the prompts.
