As a casual, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of medical settings including Neurology, Rehabilitation, Aged Care, and Brain Injury.  This position is open to experienced and new graduates. The successful applicant will be supported into the role by our senior clinicians, with ample opportunities for supervision and support. If you are looking for some additional work, or would simply like to get your foot in the door at one of Sydney’s most reputable and fastest growing health and academic precincts then this opportunity could be for you.     About Us Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation. The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care. Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney. Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges. Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries. How to Apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia & Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Neuropsychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent. Demonstrated knowledge of psychological issues that can arise with inpatients and/or outpatients (including community consumers as per service), presenting for neuropsychological assessment and where necessary, appropriate onward referral for management. Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high level of autonomy, self-motivation, and organisational and time management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy. Supervision experience of interns completing post qualification studies in Clinical Neuropsychology if appropriate to level of experience.
