The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of seafood products throughout the supply chain process. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities: Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely transport seafood products within the warehouse and production areas. Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas in a timely and efficient manner, following proper handling procedures. Assist with inventory management, including counting, labelling, and organising products. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet production deadlines. Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operating practices. Qualifications: Valid forklift license and demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment with at least 2 years of experience. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding role, with excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as inventory counting and product labelling. Good communication skills and the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is preferred but not essential (training will be provided). Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as required.
