The Legal Access and Intake Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the legal service's access, intake and referral functions and co-ordinate the service's student volunteer program/s. The position is part-time (60 hours per fortnight - negotiable) working at our West Heidelberg site. Your motivation, interpersonal skills, and experience will see you excel in this role as you: Oversee the functions of WHCL front office Co-ordinate the WHCL student volunteer/intern program Assist with internal and external service navigation Contribute to systems improvements What you will need: Excellent customer service skills Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally sensitive and empowering manner with clients and groups from diverse backgrounds who have different abilities and needs Able to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands in a busy office environment Works effectively as a team-member About us West Heidelberg Community Legal Service (WHCLS) is positioned within the Community Wellbeing Team at Banyule Community Health. The WHCLS is a unique fully integrated health justice partnership that is based on the social model of health. This model takes account of a complexity of factors that impact on the health of the community. Access to justice is a critical factor that builds and maintains healthy and resilient individuals and communities.
