Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH882856 This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024 Darling Range Sports College (SC) is looking for an outstanding teacher who develops positive relationships with all students and engages them in highly effective learning. You will ideally incorporate a diverse range of teaching strategies into your learning program and differentiate your teaching to accommodate the needs of all students. In addition, the successful applicant will be able to work in a team environment, engage in professional learning and liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks. The successful applicant should be able to teach Year 7 to 10 English, and ideally Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English to Year 12. Ideally, they will also have sound knowledge of the requirements of the Western Australian Curriculum and have a keen passion to extend our gifted and talented students. An ability to teach Humanities and Social Sciences would be highly regarded. Darling Range SC is located approximately 15 kms east of the city centre in the foothills of Perth. The College is experiencing rapid growth and is seen as a school of choice by the local community, and by students from across the state who enrol in our specialist sports programs. Experience using Explicit Instruction in the classroom is not a prerequisite for this position, but the successful applicant should display a willingness to incorporate this into their teaching practice. Knowledge or completion of CMS (Classroom Management Strategies) and IS (Instructional Strategies) professional workshops would also be highly desirable. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
