Position Overview: We are currently partnering with a prestigious healthcare organisation in Melbourne to fill the role of Data Warehouse Developer. In this role, you will play a key role in the design, maintenance, and testing of data warehouse solutions within the organisation's Business Intelligence Unit. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data warehouse solutions to meet those needs. Enhance and maintain the Clinical Enterprise Data Warehouse to address reporting requirements from various clinical areas. Implement improvements to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the data warehouse. Oversee data quality and address any issues impacting hospital operations. Monitor and maintain data warehouse environments, resolving processing issues as they arise. Assist in migrating on-premise solutions to the Azure environment. Ensure adherence to documentation processes and maintain quality control of all developed artefacts for the Clinical Enterprise Data Warehouse. Collaboration: Develop strong relationships with directors, managers, clinical staff, and administrative staff across the organisation. Provide input to data and reporting groups/forums and actively participate in meetings, working groups, and improvement programs. Liaise with the IT department to ensure seamless integration and alignment with organisational goals. Facilitate knowledge sharing among the data team and broader clinical analysts group. Requirements: Solid understanding of enterprise data warehousing principles and Kimball Dimensional Modelling. Experience in building data models to address reporting requirements. Proficiency in ingesting data from hospital systems into staging and persistent staging layers. Familiarity with BI Reporting Tools such as Power BI and self-service readiness. Ability to design, build, and document enterprise data models to ensure a single version of truth across multiple clinical and non-clinical areas. Demonstrated ability to evolve data warehouses in alignment with best practices and changing reporting environments.
