The Forensic & Remedial team seek a seasoned professional to hit the ground running and help the team go from strength to strength. The Intrax Forensic Division has quickly become known as the key partner to legal sector and insurance market, asset owners and the building and construction industry more broadly because of our ability to provide end to end service through accurate, innovative and robust technical expertise. We have several opportunities for individuals who are keen to be part of our growing and highly successful Forensic Division. This is a rare opportunity to use and further develop your skills and knowledge, sharing in our vision to be the most recognised and trusted engineering consultancy specialist in Forensic Engineering and Asset Remediation. Your day will be busy and varied including: Conducting unbiased forensic or asset maintenance site inspecti ons in both metropolitan and regional locations in your state, and analyse failures involving a variety of residential, commercial and industrial structures. Preparing written reports that document cause of distress/failure, extent of loss and recommended remediation for all types of structures. Preparing documentation detailing the rectification and remedial repair solutions for onsite construction issues and damaged structures. Scheduling field inspections and work with specialist service providers to effectively assess forensic investigations. Providing engineering consultation. Quotation preparation and client liaison. Checking reports written by forensic engineers to ensure a high-quality product is delivered to the client. Assisting the Design teams where appropriate in providing technical expertise. Innovation activities such as process improvement, system automation. Lead internal team discussions and training to develop self and others. Technically you will have a demonstrable track record that covers: 5-10 years of structural engineering experience. Sound knowledge of engineering first principles, footing/slab design, timber/steel residential framing design, masonry construction, civil/storm water design. A thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards, particularly those relating to residential, industrial, and commercial projects. Experience working with legal or insurance companies. A minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Engineering - Civil or Structural (or equivalent).
