About the position The Legal and Compliance function provides leadership to YSAS on governance, compliance and risk management. The team monitors external changes to legislative and contractual requirements and assists the organisation with implementing practical and appropriate policies and process to meet its obligations. There is a strong focus on providing expertise, education and coaching to support project and change management initiatives. The Manager Legal and Compliance provides regular and ad hoc reporting to the Executive, Board and the Risk and Audit Committee. The role works closely with the General Manager for Human Resources in relation to legal matters relating to specific employees and/or contractors, and with the Quality and Service Development team in relation to risk and compliance in practice at YSAS. The role also shares responsibility for compliance systems and reporting with the Manager Strategy and Planning. The Key Selection Criteria for this role includes: Demonstrated experience in a professional legal and compliance role Proficiency in leading contractual, legislative and regulatory compliance, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and property contracts Knowledge and experience of risk management frameworks Experience and success in designing and implementing policy frameworks and effective procedures Experience in youth, health or not-for-profit sectors desirable For full details of the position, please view the POSITION DESCRIPTION below or visit our website www.ysas.org.au Please note Service delivery aspects of the role may be modified in order to comply with Victorian Government COVID-19 guidelines.
