We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive individual, with attention to detail and strong numeracy skills to perform ‘pick and pack’ shipments, cycle counts, front counter enquiries, orders and payments on a full-time, permanent basis. The Role: Supply chain and logistics are an important part of Swagelok's value proposition to our customers. Based in our Brisbane location, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking and packing all orders in a timely and accurate manner. This position demands a high measure of accuracy at all times. You are also responsible for the receipting and checking of all incoming goods into the warehouse. Key Responsibilities: Pick and package customer and internal sales orders and prepare for dispatch to meet target date Assist with customer enquiries at the front counter, processing orders and credit card payments Manage the driver/courier relationships Complete shipment preparation paperwork before shipment arrives Cross check shipment items received against regional packing slip Conduct stock checks and ‘Cycle Counts’ on a daily basis Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse Follow Swagelok’s WHS policy and procedures to ensure safe work practices Competencies: 2 years minimum previous experience within a warehousing and distribution role Forklift license Background in plumbing or similar industrial sales environment Effective communication skills with strong customer focus Proven ability to effectively carry out receipting, storage and distribution of products Accurate interpretation of written orders and good basic numeracy and reading skills Sound knowledge of manual handling, safety awareness and forklift safety is required Basic computer skills such as data entry, email, scanning, etc. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
