Role - Network Engineer Location - Geelong & Melbourne Offices The primary focus of this role is to support project delivery and ensure the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimisation of all network hardware, software, and communication links This role will mature existing network design and infrastructure and facilitate project implementations. In addition, this role will deliver stability, and integrity networks for Ports Organization's video, VoIP and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organisation. Key Responsibility Areas: -Strategy and Planning -Acquisition and Deployment -Operational Management Skills · Demonstrated ability in managing and maintaining core and edge network and security technologies. · Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, sound interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimal supervision · Proven experience in providing service in a service level environment. · Demonstrated experience Implementing network access control Knowledge/Certifications: Cisco Certified (CCNA and CCNP) Previous experience implementing and supporting Cisco Nexus Firepower and Umbrella solutions. Checkpoint Certified (CCSA / CCSE) Significant hands on experience within MPLS, OSPF and BGP Networks. Demonstrated knowledge and experience designing and implementing layer 3 routing and layer 2 protocols Security knowledge 350-701 SCOR Understanding of Change Management frameworks such as ITIL. Knowledge and understanding of network services DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, IPS and Proxy Servers.
