Job description We are seeking a System Administrator for a role with one of our manufacturing clients based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. Full-time Melbourne based role. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting existing systems, whilst also assisting in the design, build and rollout of numerous platform enhancements, extensions and upgrades. The role will drive business processes, own key systems and will support functional staff in the completion of day to day transactional activities. In addition the role will become a focal point for bridging between the customer and support team, key to troubleshooting, analysis of performance and identifying new trends and opportunities for improvement and cost savings. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical/virtual). Manage network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls). Implement and maintain security measures. Perform data backup, recovery, and validate backups. Provide technical support to end-users. Create and maintain system documentation. Requirements: Microsoft server, AD, Exchange, O365, Windows 10, MS application suites MS SQL, SCCM, backup, Citrix, Netscaler, MobileIron MDM, Checkpoint Azure, AWS experience. Knowledge of routing, firewalls, Wi-fi, VPN, MPLS, SDWAN Strong customer service ethic, working with customers in a proactive manner. Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal Able to display a broad understanding of business operational issues. Problem solving and reasoning skills. Effective time management including the ability to prioritise tasks and issues. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Ability to communicate with staff at different levels of the organisation and with different areas of specialisation. Able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively and to contribute to and develop upon the ideas of others. Integrity – Able to conduct required tasks with a high degree of professionalism. Tempo – Able to adjust operating speed to the requirements of the situation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
