Construction Coordinator (Mechanical) — Perth CBD, Perth

Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Coordinator (Mechanical) to join the Perth or Darwin based Construction and Commissioning Engineering Team working on different projects at Pre-FEED, FEED and Execute phase. This is a permanent opportunity to start immediately. Reporting to the Construction & Commissioning Engineer Lead, you will draw upon your technical knowledge and technical writing skills for FEED. In addition, to your problem-solving skills to develop and present engineering and implementation solutions for the projects. Your responsibilities will be: Delivery of FEED deliverables associated with Construction activities Input into design and engineering to ensure Construction activities are optimized and the works scopes can be completed safely and efficiently Input into overall project estimate and schedule focusing on long lead items, early works, shutdown works Input into the preparation of the ITT Packages Identify and liaise with stakeholders and key interfaces Develop end of stage reports Manage and execute works on site to support FEED deliverables (e.g. survey / inspections) You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia. Ideally you will be suitably qualified engineer` from a recognized institution or tertiary qualification will also be considered along with 8 years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia working within multidiscipline fields. In addition, you will have: A demonstrated commitment to safety Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills - both written and verbal Previous experience in a role of construction engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplined team Demonstrated supervisory and administration skills necessary to organize and manage large project scopes Strong technical expertise in piping, vessels and rotating equipment installation, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programs Ability to maintain composure under pressure, while delivering within a challenging and complex environment A "solutions mindset" embracing innovation and an agile approach to project delivery and team leadership It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow's solutions to the world's most critical challenges.
