Senior Legal Counsel OTR. Making Life Easy. The Senior Legal Counsel works across each of On The Run Pty Ltd.’s (OTR) divisions and subsidiaries to help leaders meet the highest standards of Corporate Governance. The Senior Legal Counsel will primarily focus on the protection the assets (tangible and non-tangible) and reputation of OTR. You will act as a liaison between the company and our customers, facilitating a positive and memorable experience. Your contributions Manage a diverse range of highly complex and standard contracts and legal documents. Manage business and property transactions, including acquisitions and purchases, leases, franchises, development applications, sub-divisions, and construction contracts. Assist with monitoring and reviewing internal governance policies and procedures and manage the impacts of external factors to ensure all compliance and statutory requirements are met. Draft, negotiate and structure a range of contracts and support contract and tender management. Work with and provide legal advice to the business. Manage external lawyers as required. Manage litigation and legal disputes. Manage industrial relations and workplace matters. Manage regulatory and legal compliance and compliance programmes. Ensure brand protection, intellectual property protection and effective legal risk management. Undertake legal due diligence and contribute to governance and compliance. Engage with and report to regulatory agencies. Supervision of junior legal staff as required. Any other duties as requested from time to time. What we are looking for Admitted to practice as a legal practitioner within Australia. Minimum eight (8) years post admission experience (with at least three (3) years in a top tier law firm in a commercial area of practice Able to demonstrate: Strong knowledge and experience in commercial contracting across multiple Australian jurisdictions and relevant legislation Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Effective interpersonal and communication skills Effective knowledge-sharing and legal training skills Ability to work with autonomy, prioritise tasks and identify risks. Experience managing stakeholders and their needs, preferably in a shared service environment. Skilled in succinct, plain English communication and drafting. A demonstrated high level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
