Employment Type : Temporary Part Time until 3 November 2024 Position Classification : Social Worker Level 1/2 Remuneration : $35.78 - $51.04 per hour plus Super Hours Per Week : 20 Requisition ID : REQ471069 An exciting opportunity exists for a reliable and experienced Social Worker interested in working as part of the multidisciplinary Southcare Outreach Service (SOS) providing aged care assessment in the community. The Social Work position plays an integral part in facilitating a quick community service response to ensure safe and effective interventions for clients in the community. The role works within a dynamic and supportive MDT providing the applicant with opportunities to learn about rapid response aged care in the community setting. The Southcare Outreach Service (SOS) is a multidisciplinary community team for the ageing population over 65 years of age residing in the Sutherland Shire. The SOS provides short term acute and sub-acute interventions (up to six weeks, with an average of 2-4 weeks) by Geriatrician, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Social Work to facilitate enhanced patient care and safe clinical outcomes. SOS staff provide assessment, intervention and referral onto other required services in order to navigate and integrate the patient’s journey between tertiary and primary care. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing. All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service. A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements. In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant. Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.
