Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Administrator with a specialized focus on patch management to join a dynamic IT team. As a Patch Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, stability, and performance of our IT infrastructure through effective and timely patching processes. Responsibilities: Patch Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive patch management strategy for servers, workstations, and other critical systems. Regularly review and assess vulnerabilities to prioritize and schedule patch deployments. Coordinate with various teams to ensure minimal disruption during patching cycles. System Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to identify vulnerabilities and track system health. Proactively address potential issues and collaborate with the broader IT team to optimize system performance. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of patching activities, schedules, and outcomes. Generate reports to track the effectiveness of patch management efforts and present findings to stakeholders. Collaboration: Work closely with IT security teams to align patching processes with security policies and standards. Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and other IT professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patch management. Automation: Implement and enhance automated patch deployment solutions to streamline processes and reduce manual efforts. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to patch management and automation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on patch management. In-depth knowledge of patch management tools and techniques. Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
