We are looking for a suitably qualified Customer Service Officer to join the team. You will be responsible for providing a positive customer service experience as first point of contact to Council’s customers, completing a vast variety of enquiries, request and payments at the front counter and call centre. The Customer Service Officer is also involved with and responsible for the completion of administration tasks, project work, process improvements and implementation of procedures and systems.The successful applicant will have: Demonstrated abilities to work in a fast-paced changing environment with a willingness to act as a positive change agent. Proven experience and knowledge of cash handling, balancing, and receipting skills. Proven time management skills with the appropriate written and verbal communication skills to be able to meet deadlines under conflicting pressures while being committed to meeting customer expectations. Ability to listen, decipher and research to provide authoritative advice to customers efficiently and professionally.Qualifications required: Certificate III in Business or similar relevant qualification. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Customer Service environment.Position Hours: Fixed Term until 9 March 2025 - Part-time 50 hours per fortnight. (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 8:15am – 5:25pm). This position has the ability to work up to full-time 75 hours per fortnight when required.
