As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, your role focuses on strengthening governance and compliance foundations in a changing regulatory landscape. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the legal framework and negotiation of external legal counsel are fit for purpose and professionally managed. Establish a governance and policy framework to identify, track, and satisfy legal, compliance, and governance requirements. Represent the organization with industry bodies, peak bodies, and key external stakeholders. Lead effective tendering, negotiation, procurement, and contract management across various transactions. Lead a high-performing governance, compliance, and procurement team, embodying the organiations values. Requirements 8 years post-admission experience and admission as a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia. Contemporary industry knowledge in commercial law, contract law, industrial relations, and governance. Exposure to the not-for-profit and charitable sector. Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Ability to implement sustainable change and a systems thinking methodology.
