Mathematics Teacher — North Sydney, North Sydney Area

To start Term 1, 2024 or as soon as possible, until the end of Term 4, 2024 Wenona is seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics teacher to join our team in 2024 and inspire our young women through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance. The Position The role of Mathematics Teacher is a rewarding opportunity to inspire our students and continue to build our thriving academic program. This role can be either Full-Time or Part Time for the 2024 School Year. Key priorities for the role include: Teach and aspire to the standards articulated in the Wenona Effective Teaching Cycle in collaboration with our team of professional educators Planning and implementing authentic assessments that informs teaching and learning Providing pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of young people Facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement in the classroom and beyond This role requires the successful applicant to be NESA accredited, hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check and to be fully COVID vaccinated. Wenona supports both academic and professional services staff to develop their expertise through initiatives such as Wenona Teaching Fellowships, Seeding Grants and ongoing outstanding professional learning that develops and supports career development into the future. About You To be successful in this role, you will: Committed to excellence in the teaching of Maths 7-12 in a leading school for Girls' Education. Experience in HSC Marking is desirable, but not required. Enjoys and wants to be part of a thriving team that values flexible, innovative and creative teaching Practices. Possesses contemporary and extensive professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of Maths 7-12 and the aspects that influence learning and development, effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting, a range of resources and best practice in teaching and learning.
