Reporting to the Project Director, this position will be based in Perth initially, with frequent travel to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, until mobilisation to site. Once mobilised to site, the role will revert to a rostered Fly-in Fly-out position. You will monitor all aspects of project performance including program, WHS, quality, cost and client satisfaction related to enabling and airfield works, ensuring that they are in accordance with our systems and contractual obligations to meet key deliverables. You will play a critical part in delivery, whilst leading and mentoring a dynamic team. Think outside the box and provide innovative ideas to add value and improve performance. Lead by example in respect to HSEQS and ensure appropriate systems and procedures are implemented to consistently produce high quality outcomes, meeting contractual specifications. Manage cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete and report to senior management on performance. Update and analyse construction programs to assess performance and implement mitigation measures as required. Overseeing and managing sub-contractors' delivery including evaluations and negotiation of claims and variations, while providing recommendations to the Project Manager. Risk assessments and audit site operations to ensure procedures and processes are met. As a seasoned and successful Construction Manager with recently demonstrated experience in Airfield and/or Roadworks Construction, and strong leadership qualities, you will ensure efficient and effective project delivery. You will encourage and celebrate positive outcomes, whilst fostering a culture of autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Excellent ability to understand and interpret project and client specific requirements, and strong financial and commercial acumen will be required. As will, a demonstrated ability to understand costings, budgets, forecasting, subcontractor management and project controls. Finally, you will have well-developed communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL.
