This is a full time ongoing position commencing as soon as possible. What you will be doing? This role is responsible for providing legal advice on matters emerging for Catholic Education Western Australia Limited. About you? Bachelor's degree in law, admitted to practice and hold an unrestricted legal practising certificate from the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia. Post admission experience of 5-7 years. Demonstrated experience in working in complex environments, particularly the ability to appropriately plan, manage time, mitigate risk, manage stakeholders, and communicate effectively with decision-makers. Demonstrated ability to operate independently with initiative and self-direction, as well as a team member working cooperatively with others to produce consistent high-quality work. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment in setting priorities and managing workloads with a focus on relationships, results, and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience influencing internal and external stakeholders including board members and executive teams. Awareness of the governance arrangements for Catholic Education Western Australia and knowledge of the governance and compliance requirements for non-government schools in Western Australia is highly desirable.
