About the role: An exciting ongoing opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as an Administration Officer within our Infrastructure team The Infrastructure team comprises of Facilities, Projects, Space Planning and Timetabling functions and is based at our Elgar Road Campus in Box Hill As the Administration Officer, you will be responsible for front line service delivery including counter and phone enquiries, processing of work orders, contractor liaison, purchase order processing and procurement support. You will be a key member within a fantastic, high performing team and contribute to the wider Infrastructure portfolio and BHI as a whole You will also be responsible for inductions, issuing permits and ensuring compliance documents are maintained. This role also works positively and collaboratively with all staff across BHI ensuring that teaching and staff facilities are maintained to appropriate operational standards and the management and scheduling of spaces is optimised. Maintaining Occupational Health and Safety standards is of primary importance; a rapid response to emergency situations ensures that BHI facilities and spaces are swiftly returned to effective usage. This role is an ongoing opportunity and given the nature of the role, requires you to be onsite at our Elgar Road Campus full time. Hours of work are 8am-4pm. The salary for this role is PACCT 4 $62,687.00 per annum (exclusive of superannuation). About You: Relevant qualification in Business Administration with relevant experience or alternative combination of lesser qualifications and experience within a facilities environment. Education sector experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in a similar role. Relevant qualification in business administration or similar (desirable). Experience carrying out administrative support activities in a fast paced environment. Experience and understanding in purchase order processes and invoicing (desirable). High level of customer service experience in a face to face environment. Demonstrated experience in MS Office; in particular Excel at an intermediate level. Experience in multi-tasking and being able to respond to changing priorities- a must have High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
