Our team is growing and we are currently seeking committed, and high performing placemakers to join us in the position of Aviation Protection Officers at our Melbourne Airport. The position is full time, permanent role. The Position: The Airside Operations team is a pivotal part of security operations at Melbourne Airport and is looking for highly driven, passionate and available individuals to join them Reporting to the Airside Security Operations Management, and working closely with the entire airside operations workforce, the role will be responsible for high quality security functions across Melbourne Airport. Responsible for consistent and standard security practices ensuring stakeholders and their possessions are checked and cleared prior to entry into the security restricted area Control access to security sensitive areas, undertaking physical searches, and identifying weapons, explosives and prohibited items Control vehicle access to airside, undertaking vehicle searches, and regulating entry as per required regulations Demonstrate effective communication and sound decision making skills Providing consistent, high quality customer service Work as part of a high performing team Our Benefits: On-site, free parking Opportunities to develop your career within our global organisation Learning & Development opportunities - Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) Minimum Criteria: Ability to obtain an ASIC security clearance (Criminal history clearance for the past 10 years) Successfully pass drug & alcohol screening, and medical assessments Hold a valid and current security license with Certificate II in security operations Hold or willing to obtain a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) True 24/7 availability, including shiftwork and weekends on a rotating roster Own reliable transport Highly developed security awareness and focus Ability to work in a fast paced environment Effective communication skills, and professional demeanor Computer literacy skills (Windows systems, Microsoft Office Suite) Extensive experience in high quality customer service This is a casual position following upon completion of TSP training and suitability assessments Please note, the recruitment process for this role includes a number of steps.
