Being part-time, the role will provide you with work-life balance and see you working in a diverse and supportive team environment, 3 days per week. We, at CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay are seeking an experienced, passionate and purpose driven Reception and Operational support superstar to join our growing and supportive team in our Waitara Family Centre. This role is a 12-month, part-time fixed-term contract. The successful incumbent will be working 22.8 hours per week – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s. This position provides high level, quality administrative and customer service support to our Integrated Services team and clients, contributing to the efficient and effective operating of the programs being delivered. Duties: Act as a first point of contact for clients seeking assistance with a range of challenges including Domestic Violence, Homelessness , Family Support and Therapy services. Responding to calls with an empathetic and non-judgmental communication style to our clients, who present with a broad range of challenges and issues, face to face and over the phone. Manage the front reception desk, taking inbound calls and re-directing them to the appropiate staff members. Making outbound calls to clients and support workers. Site and administration management including coordination and collation of regular reporting. Ensure databases are maintained and help with managing expenses, banking, and liaise with the internal IT department for any set up, connection or support required by office staff. Maintain a clean & tidy office environment, ensuring availability of supplies, stationery and amenities. Organise catering, room bookings and other items relevant to any events, training or meetings as needed. Promote a ‘risk-aware’ culture, ensure WH&S standards are maintained and all hazards and incidents are reported. Any other ad hoc task as required from time to time to support the service. Skills and Experience: Extensive prior experience in an administration, receptionist or customer service roles within Community Services (preferred by not essential). Relevant TAFE or tertiary qualifications. A strong, confident communication style and an ability to present professionally in response to diverse range of stakeholders – face to face, via email and phone. Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated professional approach to deal with confidential/sensitive matters. Knowledge of the community sector, social welfare and/or child protection legislation desirable. National Criminal History Check. Working with Children’s Check. Current NSW Driver’s License and access to an insured vehicle. About us We support families to be happy, healthy and safe.
