Eight core behaviours were identified as being integral to achieving the vision:team player;caring;respectful;honest;advocate;collaborative;considerate and accountable.  The DSN will be actively involved in all relevant end of life conversations and the Family Donation Conversation (FDC), ensuring that all elements of the Best Practice Guideline for offering organ and tissue donation are met, in particular, the collaborative approach. The DSN is responsible for auditing deaths and organ donation referral practices across the LHD, as determined by the OTDS and the Australian Organ Donation and Transplantation Authority. The position works across the LHD and also has state-wide, cross LHD responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the OTDS in collaboration with LHD line management. Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 means:a registered nurse appointed as such to a position approved by the Health Service, who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. In addition the employee must have approved post graduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed to or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the Health Service. An employer may also require a higher qualification in the specialist nursing field where such qualification is considered essential for the performance of the individual position.  Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing. All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.  A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements. In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant. Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.
