Employment Type : Temporary Full Time and Temporary Part Time up to June 2024 Position Classification : Speech Pathologist Level 1/2 Remuneration : $70,944 - $101,211 per annum plus Superannuation Hours Per Week : Up to 38 Requisition ID : REQ464372 The Level 1/2 Paediatric Community Speech Pathologist is responsible for providing assessments, management and intervention for children aged from 0 to 18 years with communication difficulties, in collaboration with their parents, carers and family. The Speech Pathologist is responsible for utilising a range of service delivery options to provide effective and efficient clinical services, which may include individual, group parent training, programs, consultation, community capacity building and other models of care. Essential components of this role include direct client services, support and training to family members and carers, development of resources, documentation of all client care, quality improvement processes and administrative tasks as required. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing. All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service. A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements. In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant. Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.
