THE ROLE Salary Package: From $93,017 to $102,676 (Level 6) plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading Appointment Type: Full-time, 12-month fixed term contract (parental leave replacement) Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde) The Role Macquarie University Psychology Clinic (MUPC) is seeking a professional and client focused Psychology Clinic Administrator to manage the administrative operations of the Clinic. Reporting to the Clinic Director you will: Manage the client record systems and provide a comprehensive range of administration support and services across clinic operations and student lifecycles including front desk, client scheduling, and resolution of queries. Provide advice and support to students and staff on clinic administration systems, policies, procedures and processes and work with the Clinic Director to improve and or implement policies. Provide finance-based administration support across clinic operations including banking, invoicing, receipting and claims. Ensure efficient management of clinic records and student placement data in compliance with the relevant legislation and organisational policies and procedures. Coach, mentor and develop MUPC reception staff. About You You will be a passionate and professional individual, with a commitment to providing client-centred clinical care. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding organisational skills and the ability to show initiative. You will operate both autonomously and within the team environment, applying sound judgement to solve issues and administrative challenges. Your ability to respond effectively to competing demands and tight timeframes and form effective and collegial relationships with clients, staff, students and key stakeholders, will be key to your success in this role. About Us Within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) the Macquarie University Psychology Clinic (MUPC) provides evidence-based mental health services including in-person assessment and treatment programs for Australian children, families and adults experiencing difficulties with anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, adjustment-related problems, childhood developmental problems and related conditions. Treatment programs are offered in individual and group formats. The Clinic also provides psychometric and neuropsychological assessments and career counselling. The collective goal of these services is to provide information, assessment and treatment services to facilitate children, families and adults to learn about their functioning, manage their symptoms, and improve their quality of life. To Apply To be considered for this position, the applicant will demonstrate the below requirements in their CV and a 1 or 2 page cover letter: Relevant degree or certificate and/or equivalent experience in clinical administration management. Strong service ethic including strong communication skills and a track record of working in a practice administration or management role in a healthcare setting, preferably in mental health. Demonstrated knowledge of health service provider obligations under the Privacy Act and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act. Sound understanding of financial administration with experience in accounts, claims and in managing and monitoring a budget. Advanced computer skills including patient management systems and Office 365 applications. Excellent time management and organisation skills with a track record of dealing with sensitive or confidential matters with empathy and discretion.
