About the role The Architectural and Retail Design Manager will manage the architectural design process for all new store developments, refurbishments, and renovations within the Peregrine retail network. You will ensure that all designs meet the regulatory requirements, are cost-effective, efficient and on-brand. Key Responsibilities Develop, plan, and manage retail design projects from concept to completion, including new stores, refurbishments, and renovations. Manage project budgets to ensure architectural plans are developed within budget, and build is cost effective. Ensure designs comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards, minimising legal risk by ensuring project integrity in compliance. Ensure that all project timelines are managed and met, liaising with counterparts to ensure the prioritisation of activities to meet overall team needs. Oversee the quality control of the architectural design process and outcomes. Collaborate with internal teams, including property, operations, marketing, and construction teams to ensure design align with business objectives, are commercially viable and meet customer needs. Ensure that all designs meet regulatory requirements, including local council planning guidelines, building codes, and environmental regulations. Ensure that all designs align with the company's brand values, guidelines and standards. Effectively communicate and present design plans to stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners. Any other duties as requested from time to time. What we are looking for We exclusively seek A-Players to join our team, defined as someone who consistently demonstrates exceptional skills, a strong work ethic, unwavering dedication, innovative thinking, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their work. Key skills and experience Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field (preferred). 5 years plus of experience in architectural retail design, with a portfolio of successful retail store designs. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D modelling software. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and collaboration skill, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A knowledge of cost of designs and value management Proven track record with sustained results in a similar role Great team building skills with an ability to mentor and train young ambitious designers.
