From plants to stonework, furniture to pool design, they carefully consider every aspect of outdoor living requirements in our landscaping projects. De Vries Designs has a unique opportunity to join their small team of high motivated landscapers, based in Perth’s inner suburbs. This is an opportunity for a Landscape Construction Apprentice to gain the skills to be involved in some of Perth’s best residential landscapes, whilst being mentored by a dynamic team of experienced contractors. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES As a Landscape Construction Apprentice, you will support the team onsite to construct all aspects of a landscaping project. This includes: Design: Interpret detailed construction drawings and plans (planting, lighting ect), with guidance. Including comprehension of denoted material selections and plants. Construction: Site preparation, installing of softscapes (irrigation, planting) and hardscapes (decking, fencing and paving). Maintenance: Weeding, fertilising, pruning and general maintenance of gardens, structures and irrigation systems. Pools: Assist with site works, set out and other duties that may arise. Learning: Adapting your class-based knowledge into practical skills. Presentation: Maintaining a clean and tidy worksite and pristine outdoor environment for our clients. REQUIRED SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES There is no experience required to apply for this apprenticeship. Though, the business requires applicants to show an eagerness to learn the trade and conduct the role with a high level of professionalism. Applicants who demonstrate the following attributes will be highly considered: Ability to work in a team environment. Work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong communication skills. Eager to learn and undertake a Landscape Construction Apprenticeship, including TAFE based learning components. Reliable, with a positive and honest work ethic. Ability to carry out a range of tasks and have good organizational skills. ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA (Driver’s license/Pre-apprenticeship etc.) C class driver’s license. Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.
