Redpath Partners are exclusively working with a global, multibillion dollar investment manager who is seeking a Construction Superintendent to ensure the construction quality of x2 landmark BTR projects in Melbourne.Ideally having experience in both lead contractor and client-side/development this person will oversee construction quality through periodic inspections, delivering reports highlighting any issues that may require rectification or attention from the contractor. Job Duties Include Examining design documentation and construction details to ensure optimal practices. Providing buildability advice and conducting reviews with owners, designers, and contractors. Identifying suitable inspection and test points throughout the construction process. Conducting on-site inspections during the construction phase. Evaluating compliance with relevant Australian Standards and Building Codes for specific details. Scrutinising manufacturers' installation guides to ensure accurate installation and uphold product warranties and guarantees. Generating comprehensive inspection reports. Requirements Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Construction or relevant disciplines. Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience with hands-on skill dealing with construction management in high-rise residential projects for a contractor and/or developer. In-depth experience and knowledge of Building Regulations, being well-versed in the coordination of services and construction details. Proven track record in inspection and report of a construction site. The ideal candidate will be from a clerk of works, site manager and/or defects foreman background and have extensive experience within the residential construction sector.
