About the Project: Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. About the Role: As the Lead Electrical Field Engineer, you will be is responsible for activities relating to construction engineering within the electrical discipline. Your duties will include: interpreting electrical design drawings and specifications, cable installations and terminations, field verification of materials, and technical direction to field electrical personnel as required. coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues relating to the electrical discipline such as installation and testing of electrical systems, lighting systems, high voltage equipment and grounding, and DCS systems. establish an electrical design/field engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Project Engineer, including agreement on electrical engineering deliverables and overall construction application configuration management. quantity take-off, control, tracking, reporting and forecasting. direct the preparation of requisitions for field procured materials, material substitution, services and equipment including panels, motors and switchgear. develop and manage the electrical construction quality program. What You Bring: With a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline, you will have a minimum of six years relevant work experience, or 12 years relevant experience in the absence of a degree. You will have: experience in construction and technical inspection of electrical/design in areas such as installation and testing of electrical systems, lighting systems, high voltage equipment, grounding, DCS systems and cable pulling activities. be computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications with basic ability to utilize the TeamWorks suite and SetRoute application. have basic knowledge of Project Technical Requests (PTR) for routing and resolving Requests for Information (RFIs), Field Change Documents (FCDs), and Non Conformance/Compliance Reports (NCRs) between project sites, contractors, clients, and home office. intermediate understanding of production management including scheduling. intermediate knowledge of cost management including estimating and forecast development. previous supervisory experience within electrical discipline. Additional Information: This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.). The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
