We now have an opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join the team working across for our projects, based at Dunedin. Leading the continuous development and deployment of health, safety initiatives, and practices that drive our culture of zero harm At McConnell Dowell. About the Role Responsible for coordinating the implementation and maintenance of the project’s quality management systems. Ensure that all employees are made aware of the quality management requirements related to their scope of work. Establish Supplier/Subcontractor quality requirements and include in subcontract documents. Prepare and maintain the Project Audit Schedule in consultation with the BU Quality and Audit Managers Carry out and report audits in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule Establish and plan the controls for inspection and testing of construction works, materials and equipment onsite and offsite Identify all client and project hold and witness points and incorporate those into applicable ITPs Interact with Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors to implement and coordinate the Quality Management Plan Interface with the welding supervisor to assist with control of the welding and NDT inspection process Interface with Client’s Quality Representatives and Field Engineers About You Operational experience in the application of quality management principles in the construction industry Relevant technical qualifications Communicates clearly and concisely Competent user of software, with working knowledge of wider applications Experience in investigating and reporting quality incidents Working knowledge of risk assessment and audit procedures Don’t tick all the boxes but you’re still excited about this opportunity? At Enerven, we’re focussed on connecting you with tomorrow The Role: Enerven is seeking an experienced Primary Design Engineer to join their Engineering Design Team. The role will be responsible for providing infrastructure design & engineering as part of the Enerven Engineering Team. Primarily this includes the design of Substations, BESS (Battery Energy Storage) and Renewables infrastructure facilities to the required specifications and standards for Enerven’s intrastate and interstate clients. The Primary Design Engineer will: Provide technical engineering services in the areas of substation and BESS; Produce engineering drawings of the nature: Facility Layouts Footing & conduit design/layouts Trenching & cabling design/layouts Structural steel design Fencing design Building architectural and designs Auxiliary systems including septics, oil separation Produce engineering calculations and reports of the nature: HV bus electrical HV conductor electrical Fire studies Participate in the development of the templates, tools & procedures to improve the efficiency and quality of Primary Design deliverables; Work with the business development team to secure new contracts for Enerven, participating and driving Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) works, solutions development and engineering support; Ensure compliance of design with the relevant design standards, statutory regulations and Australian Standards; Implement value engineering initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle; and Provide site-based engineering support during project construction and commissioning phases. What you will need: Degree in Electrical / Mechatronic that will allow admission as Corporate Member of Institute of Engineers, Australia; Chartered Professional Engineer as defined for registration on NPER register or able to obtain it; and Current SA Driver’s license. Skills and experience with electrical design software’s will be seen as highly preferable.
