Job posting end date: 12/29/2023 Introduction: We are seeking a Manager, Product Engineering - Mechanical to join the Horizontal Mill Product team. You will be responsible for managing the mechanical product engineering team and leading mechanical product engineering activities. You will report to Nick Green, VP, Horizontal mills. This position is preferrable based in York, PA or Perth, Australia however candidates in other locations may be considered. Some international travel will be required from time to time. Team you belong to: You will join a team of dedicated Mill Product experts in various locations globally. This role will be required to coordinate with peer Engineering Managers, Product Technical Support, Product Managers, and interface with various stakeholders in other parts of the organization. What you’ll do: • Reporting manager for the mechanical product design and engineering team in the Horizontal Mill product group. • Responsible for developing Tier 1 engineering competence for grinding products in relation to mechanical design engineering. • Responsible to ensure that technical resource competencies and resourcing matches implementation of the product strategies. • Active role in the Horizontal Mill Product Group leadership team including product strategy and development. • Drive productization, standardization, design to cost and design for service activities for own responsibility area. • Includes productization of ancillary/third party equipment. • Ensure productization efforts align with, and support, project delivery engineering efficiency, scalability, and deliverable quality.
