Design & Build Recruitment are currently assisting a reputable Building Services Contractor in their search for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Melbourne. The position would be responsible for overseeing the conception, design and completion of commercial projects. Additional responsibilities have been listed below: Responsibilities Conduct end-to-end electrical designs for commercial projects across lighting, power and communications. Design and review project specifications, identifying technical issues related to contract requirements. Develop concepts, technical calculations and modelling in order to meet client expectations. Work in accordance to relevant building codes, standards and legislative requirements. Coordinate closely with engineers, modellers, project teams, authorities and clients. Plan and schedule the scope of work for projects. Mentor and guide junior engineers where necessary. Requirements 5 years experience as an electrical engineer in building services (contractor or consultancy). Educated to a Bachelor’s Degree level in Electrical Engineering. Experience in designing mid-to-large electrical commercial projects. Lighting design software skills (AGI32 and DialLUX). Experience with modelling software (PowerCAD). Professional engineering certification. Technically skilled in order to mentor junior engineers.
