Accommodating a maximum of 120 guests and operating 3, 4 and 7 night cruises on the Murray River from Mannum, 87 kilometres from Adelaide, this stunning vessel attracts guests from all over Australia and the world. About the Role The roster rotation for this position is 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. The Leading Hand Cabin Attendant is an integral position in the Hospitality Operations on the Murray Princess. The position involves all aspects of housekeeping including, but not limited to; cabin cleaning, making beds daily, and changing linen, cleaning bathrooms and general cleaning of cabins and public areas. The position also involves dining room set up, drink/food waiting, polishing of cutlery, guest boarding, folding of napkins, cabin cleaning room allocations and other related tasks as required. You will be responsible for crew supervision including the allocation of cabins for cleaning and spring cleaning duties. Responsible for ordering cleaning supplies and ensuring sufficient stock is on board. High standards are expected to ensure quality is guaranteed for paying guests, with daily cabin inspections. The Cabin Attendant position involves all aspects of cabin cleaning including making beds daily, changing linen, cleaning bathrooms and general cleaning of cabins and public areas. The position also involves dining room set up, drink waiting, polishing of cutlery, guest boarding, folding of napkins and clearing plates. This role requires energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, and multi-skilling and time management. The Leading Hand Cabin Attendant will be expected to meet and exceed key performance indicators, whilst displaying a high level of work ethics. About You Strong Guest/ Customer Service Skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organisational and planning skills Ability to perform autonomously Flexibility and reliability Proven ability to handle difficult situations Interpersonal and relationship building skills Skills, Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 1 year hotel, restaurant or cruise ship experience in a position of responsibility, such as a head room attendant / cabin steward Experience in working in a fast paced team to reach goals Guest service experience Previous leadership experience Responsible Service of Alcohol - Essential Previous experience in the tourism industry along with a certificate qualification in Hospitality would be looked upon favourably. Whilst not essential, it would be desirable for the successful person to have a Food Safety Certificate and experience in liaising with suppliers and contractors.
