Job no: 994650 Work type: Full-Time Location: Melbourne - CBD & Inner Categories: Design & Development The role This is an exciting opportunity to support the research, design and development of ranges across Country Road Womenswear. You will work collaboratively with Design, Planning, Tech, and Product Development & Sourcing. Key responsibilities Support the Designer and Senior Designer to design a product range aligned to the brand strategy set by the Head of Design, and aligned to the option plan, price points, margin targets and trade insights Research projects including emerging trend, inspiration, and comp shops based on customer segmentation and brand direction (as needed) Assist Designers to complete technical and construction specifications Support Designers to conceptualise and sketch the range on Illustrator and Photoshop; development and maintenance of all range documents Prepare and collate relevant samples and documentation for key meetings Provide Designers with evaluation of range performance by assessing weekly sales reports and attending trade meetings, taking learnings into future actions Maintain relationships with key stakeholders/vendors to ensure design vision is achieved Adhere to the company timetable and critical path to ensure delivery into stores is on time Completion of key administrative tasks in a timely manner to ensure the maintenance of workflow across departments are within accordance to the critical path. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate Experience working as a Junior Designer, or Design Assistant ready for the next step Degree or Diploma in Fashion Strong technical design and sketching ability Intermediate to advanced skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Outlook with PML experience desired but not essential.
