Senior Structural Design/Forensic Engineer Design & Build Company Overview: Join a dynamic consultancy specialising in Structural design and forensic inspections across a diverse range of structural engineering projects. Our client has established long-standing relationships with architects, developers, insurers, councils, and state government agencies. With varied projects and a commitment to excellence, they are looking to expand their team in Melbourne. My Client: They are currently seeking an Intermediate - Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of local experience to join their team. As a key member, you will collaborate on a wide range of projects, delivering high-quality structural designs and reports. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Director, and experienced Engineers, on predominantly residential and industrial projects. Working on both new builds and conducting forensic inspections for Insurance clients. Key Responsibilities: Work as part of a collaborative team to deliver high-quality structural designs and reports. Undertake research and provide essential support to the team. Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, and proficiency in drafting and design software. (Must be proficient in AutoCAD.) Write forensic engineering reports and display an eagerness to learn and contribute to insurance remedial projects. Build direct relationships with clients, sub-consultants, and government agencies. Manage and coordinate various sub-consultants. Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of postgraduate design experience. Experience in preparing structural designs and checking the work of juniors. Ability to provide support in managing engineering projects and coordinating sub-consultants. Excellent report writing skills. Capability to attend site visits, manage clients, and collect on-site data for preparing comprehensive reports and designs.
