The Role We're seeking a self-motivated and confident Maintenance Electrician, to join our Austral Bricks Plant in Wollert, Victoria. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for management for site change and processes as well as preventative maintenance to PLC network, SCDA and process control communications systems. Duties include: Contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives. Develop and maintain Standardised Work Method Statements. Scope requirements for change management requests, identify solutions and action. Scope Electrical Project requirements as requested, install, test and commission. Ensure that plant assets are fully maintained to promote efficient operation of equipment. Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner, compliant with WHSE policies and procedures. Effectively plan all required maintenance tasks so that any associated downtime is at a minimum. Analyse breakdowns proactively and propose effective solutions. Train maintenance personnel in the areas of PLC Network, SCADA and Process Control Communications Systems. Success Requirements: Electrical Trade qualification. Proven knowledge of using a CMMS System and IT Networking/Control Systems. Technical Trade aptitude and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent technical fault-finding abilities. Proficiency in reading and understanding schematic drawings, plans, and specifications. Ability to prioritise tasks and ensure quick response to emergency breakdowns, reducing downtime. Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority to minimise downtime.
