Experienced Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join a successful surgical practice at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroonga. Part time or Full Time Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroonga Permanent Part Time or Full Time We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join our client’s team at a busy surgical practice. You will play a critical role in supporting the surgeon and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. Responsibilities: Running clinics, greeting, and checking in patients, verifying health fund insurance, and scheduling appointments Answering phones, responding to inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families Collecting and processing patient information, including medical history and other relevant data Coordinating patient care with other medical professionals and ensuring timely communication with referring physicians Managing patient records, including electronic medical records in a paperless office Preparing surgical quotations, billings, payments, and receipts Coordinating patient procedures, managing theatre lists, and coordinating anaesthetists Managing aged debtors, bank reconciliations Performing general office duties, such as faxing, scanning, and filing. Utilising Genie software and Eclipse payments Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with experience as a medical receptionist/secretary in a surgical practice Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with patients and healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in typing and using medical software and electronic medical records with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes Ability to maintain confidentiality. You will be reliable and demonstrate compassion, empathy, and effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
