About the role We are looking for a positive and friendly Receptionist to join our team The Receptionist will provide a high standard of customer service to staff, clients, contractors and visitors, aligned to MiCare's values. The position will manage calls on a switchboard for a wide range of requests and provide a range of general administrative support to programs of the organisation. Strong demonstrated experience in a similar Receptionist role is essential. The main responsibilities of the role include: Manage reception duties, including appropriate and approachable answering of incoming telephone calls. Taking of messages and passing them on in an accurate and timely manner Handle the incoming and outgoing mail Administration of the Emergency phones for Independent living and Community Services (Kilsyth only) Printing documents/books in a timely manner as required Administration and allocation of keys and building access Taking and receipting of monies paid by Elders and family in relation to prior invoicing. Taking of MiMeals orders and passing on to service provider (kitchen) in a timely and accurate manner Attend to stationary requests and place orders when required Invoice Elders when requested in relation to goods & services provided Maintain Petty Cash and complete banking/cash reconciliation on a daily basis. Assist Facility Managers with administrative tasks About you You will have excellent communication and time management skills. You will be self-motivated with a flexible, caring and patient attitude. Qualifications: A business related Diploma would be advantageous but not essential A qualification relevant to the role and function for this position Skills Strong demonstrated experience in a Receptionist role, ideally in the Aged Care sector Demonstrated experience using a switchboard Excellent time management skills and an ability to manage competing priorities Well-developed interpersonal skills Good numeracy skills The ability to work with minimal supervision The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment Intermediate knowledge of Ms Word, Excel and Outlook Good attention to detail The ability to speak Dutch/ another language, advantageous but not essential A police check with no disclosable outcome, current flu vaccination and a COVID-19 vaccination is required by MiCare for this position.
