St Anne's primary school in North Albury is looking for a part time Teacher Assistant to join our wonderful team and to help our students learn and grow. Ideally we would like the successful candidate to commence as soon as possible. Our school of approximately 360 students is two streamed with a team of dedicated teachers. Your new role: The Teacher Assistant supports the classroom teacher, enabling students with additional needs to be included in the classroom and to experience success in their school environment. What you will need to succeed (Selection Criteria): Ability to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning to enhance student learning. Have a good understanding of how to provide positive reinforcement and appropriate and timely feedback to students. Demonstrate and maintain safe and challenging learning environments through the use of classroom management skills. Ability to build relationships with students, the student’s family and others in the learning environment Prepare resources to assist the student with additional needs to learn in an age-appropriate and educational manner. Must be punctual, polite, show initiative, patience, flexibility, reliable, responsible, and exude Christian values. Undertake specific tasks with individuals or small groups of students under the guidance of the teacher. Established skills of creativity, initiative and good judgement. Proven capacity to work as part of a team and be adaptable and flexible. But also have the ability to work independently. A Current Working with Children’s Check. What is next?
