Project Support Engineer — Mascot, Rockdale Area

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join SICE ANZ and work on a large-scale infrastructure project. The Project Support Engineer will be involved in the ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring and continuous upgrading of the WestConnex Operation Management and Control Systems (OMCS) systems already in operation. This role is a level 1 support function and will require you to work closely with SICE level 2 and level 3 support teams. Responsibilities • Preventative/Corrective maintenance and monitoring of the Operation Management and Control Systems (OMCS) and Integrated Operation Management and Control Systems (IOMCS) already in operation. • Coordination with clients, stakeholders and operators in supporting the SIDERA managed motorways. • Communicating with traffic operators to gather details, clarifications, and feedback. • Investigation and rectification of issues and defects in the systems using SICE’s Service Management tool. • Investigation and root cause analysis of complex problems impacting SIDERA, PLC and sub systems. • Fulfilment of General requests • Assist with implementation or testing of SICE projects under S&M scope. • Release and Deployment: Installation and deployment of new SIDERA software releases. • Change Management: Co-ordination and implementation of changes approved by the client. This may require some after-hours work. • Application Testing: Performing regression testing for system or application upgrades. • Creating and updating internal articles, protocols, and procedures for the maintenance of the systems. • Participating in transitioning activities and Critical Operating Equipment & Systems (COES) for the final commissioning of future SIDERA clients or expansion of existing stages. • Perform On-call duties as required. Requirements • Qualifications in IT, Computer Science, engineering, or equivalent experience. • SQL Certification or equivalent experience or knowledge. • Familiarity with working in Windows environments and basic skills in Windows administration. • ITIL Certification (Desired but not essential). • PLC Certification (Desired but not essential). • Genetec Certification (Desired but not essential). • Previous experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Zephyr, Confluence) or another Service Management tool is desirable. • Previous experience in ITS projects and environments and knowledge of ITS systems, equipment and roadside/tunnel devices is a plus.
