We're looking for a Legal Manager for APAC Region to join our team at our Melbourne Depot in Braeside, Victoria. About this job: The purpose of this position will be to provide legal advice and assistance to the APAC business. This will involve working with the Sales Team, Commercial Manager, Procurement, and Projects to assist with negotiating, drafting and finalization of contracts. Your key responsibilities: Provision of legal support to the APAC business on all legal issues which may include contracts, corporate, commercial, intellectual property, corporate governance, and privacy. Main support to AusPac region with some support to Asia when required. Focus on reviewing, drafting, and assisting in the negotiation of sales and procurement contracts from the customer and supplier. Identify pragmatic and proactive solutions to mitigate risks as well as meeting commercial needs. Managing company secretarial support for AusPac entities with external service provider. Preparing monthly risk register report for of APAC entities. Provide education and training to the business. Keep up to date with relevant legislative changes in AusPac region. Ensure corporate governance and internal compliance and approval processes are followed. Liaising with external legal advisors, as appropriate. Assist with processing and approval of payments to external legal advisers. We're Experts. You will have the following skills and experience: LLB degree with at least 1 year of in-house legal experience. A good team player who can work autonomously. Experience handling legal issues in a broad range of legal areas is preferred. Must have good and effective communication skills, both spoken and written. Strong negotiation, drafting and presentation skills. Strong commercial business acumen with extensive knowledge of contract management.
