Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer Location: Sydney CBD Position Type: Full-Time We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ICT Infrastructure Engineer to join one of our public sector clients to be part of a cloud migration project. Responsibilities: Design and implement infrastructure solutions in alignment with current architecture standards to support organizational systems and services. Evaluate the performance of solutions within the current environment, monitoring their contribution to business performance, security, and sustainability. Ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality installations to minimize operational and project risk. Utilize infrastructure management tools for automating provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance. Conduct testing of hardware and software components, resolve defects, record results, and facilitate smooth handover of implemented solutions. Update configuration management records and fully document end-user technology to meet current and future infrastructure engineering requirements. Key Challenges: Manage relationships with vendors to ensure private and public cloud services are maintained and compliant with standards. Handle conflicting or concurrent hardware upgrades, refresh projects, and programs with potentially competing demands. Qualifications and Skills: Tertiary qualifications in information technology and/or industry experience in related field Extensive experience in Private and Public Cloud (Azure and/or AWS) Infrastructure Extensive experience in Microsoft technology stack, Active Directory and Azure Active Directory Exceptional problem solving, analytical and organisational skills including the ability to recommend improvements/alternatives Strong consulting, negotiation skills and ability to work within diverse teams and key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation Benefits: Hybrid working arrangement Leave loading Flex-time 35-hour work week.
