About the Role Black Star Pastry is going from strength to strength and we have a need for a full-time Café Manager to take the helm, lead the team and manage all areas of our beautiful Chadstone store, including overseeing employee performance and the customer experience. Main Responsibilities Provide ‘hands on’ leadership within the store, overseeing all direct employees ensuring that they are trained in all store processes, standards and expectations. Communicate position expectations and monitor employee performance including coaching, counselling and disciplining employees in partnership with HR. Ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Complete weekly rosters in a fair and consistent manner and within budget requirements. Maintain workplace cleanliness and WHS standards, establishing systems to ensure levels are consistent and acceptable, communicating clear expectations to the team. Ensuring quality of service by maintaining consistent standards, analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends and recommending system improvements. Participate in leadership meetings and workshops.
