ABOUT THE ROLE The Customer Service Manager is a hands-on role covering C/S and import/export operations elements. The position is responsible for a team of 4. Mentoring a small team by linking operations, transport, accounts and agency networks to client expectations. Developing and maintaining solid relationships with key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and resolution of issues. DUTIES • Train, mentor and guide a team of 4 Import/Export/Customer Service staff • Ensure clients are serviced and maintained per agreements, KPI's and SOP's. • Provide daily status reports and troubleshoot potential issues with clients • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure minimal delays • Maintain and service a portfolio of accounts with a key trade lanes SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Previous experience leading a team in Customer Service/Operations within the shipping line space • Actively contribute to planning and review sessions for critical clients • Ensure strong SOP and compliance measures are up-to-date and accurate • Strong commercial outlook to assist with new client implementation • Work closely with the Branch manager to deliver on import/export services available COMPANY CULTURE An experienced team with a strong management team in place and a wealth of experience who are willing to guide and mentor the team.
