Role description: With the growing pipeline of work in our Mobility business, we are looking for a Project Engineer to be part of our WA Engineers in Perth. Role accountabilities: Manage a small team of Surveillance Officers and arrange the surveillance program and look ahead at construction activities of special importance to the project. Attend construction meetings with the other project parties as required. Inspect off-site facilities such as quarries, batch plants, pre-cast yards and materials testing laboratories. Review design reports from perspective of constructability and review contractor submissions including asphalt/concrete mix designs, ITPS, SWMS, etc. Manage the Hold Point, NCR, RFI and IFC registers. Oversee implementation of design, specifications, and standards by delivery partners Monitor, assess and report on construction quality and progress. Ensure early identification of potential technical issues on site. Ensure the production of project documents and reports that are accurate, clear, and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project. Ensure that the latest versions of drawings are being used by delivery partners and resolve complex technical issues on site. Coach and develop fellow technicians and engineers on site and develop and maintain professional relationships with delivery partners while promoting a culture of continuous innovation and improvement. Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life and want to be part of city shaping projects that change the way we move around our capital. You will come to us with: Relevant engineering degree Demonstrated technical and commercial acumen. 10 years relevant site experience Working knowledge of earthworks, asphalt, concrete, geotechnical measures, pavements, structures, noise walls, services and landscaping Proven high level proficiency in the understanding and application of Quality Management Systems Ability to think in an innovative and solution driven manner Understanding of Best Practice techniques in the construction industry Effective written and verbal communications skills Ability to lead a small site team Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally Why Arcadis?
