What you'll be doing The Heart Centre for Children, SCHN is one of the largest and busiest sub-specialty teams within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) and provides cardiac care to children of New South Wales and the surrounding regions at the; Children’s Hospital Westmead, Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and within our outreach centres.   The Senior Cardiac Clinic Coordinator will be required to provide exceptional administrative and customer service support for; patients, families, staff, and visitors to the Heart Centre for Children, SCHN.  This role is responsible for the delivery of senior administration support for all aspects of the Heart Centre for Children, SCHN with a focus on supporting senior staff. Further, the role will support education and training of the overall administrative team, including coordinating and monitoring workload and workflow, with a general responsibility for the overall continual efficiencies of the department.  Main duties include (but are not limited to); being the first point of contact with patients and families (including managing complex cases and bookings as well as problem solving) and delegating workload and enquiries appropriately (to management and colleagues), managing all aspects of clinic coordination, ensuring smooth administrative procedures and processes are adhered to, delivering quality improvement initiatives and projects as directed by senior staff, and building positive culture across the Heart Centre for Children, SCHN.   The Senior Cardiac Clinic Coordinator role is based at a single site and will require working across SCHN as required. The Senior Cardiac Clinic Coordinator support patients within all clinical locations, working remotely to ensure care is provided in the right place at the right time.  From time to time, the Senior Cardiac Clinic Coordinator may also be required to perform other job-related as required. The duties and responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the mission, values, and operating systems of The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network and in-line with the NSW Health's Code of Conduct. Experience in administration and customer service within the health industry or similar customer service industry. A strong focus on delivering positive or compassionate patient and/or customer service experiences, attention to detail and multi-tasking will ensure success in this patient centred environment Demonstrated ability to deliver quality improvement initiatives. Demonstrated senior skills in supporting positive culture in a challenging environment, such as being; respectful to others, transparent and open in communication. Experience in delivering administration support at a senior level, ideally in a customer service, professional services, or clinical environment. Demonstrated advanced verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanour. Strong computer literacy skills, including experience in Microsoft office or other relevant programs. Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads, and meeting team objectives and key performance indicators.
